Founded in 2021 by graphic designer; Suzanne Pilcher after the Covid-19 pandemic grounded the former digital nomad back in her hometown of Townsville, Locale was born from a personal desire to connect with other like-minded creatives who have a similar love for nature, adventure and the laid-back island lifestyle. Having spent 5 years working in the creative industries in Sydney, followed by 2 years of travelling around the world working remotely from an array of inspiring spaces, the isolation of working from home left Suzanne with a deep-seated understanding of the value and beauty of community.
Ater connecting with fellow Jungle Club co-founders; the opportunity presented itself to join forces and build a space designed to empower creativity, build community, and connect with nature on the idyllic Magnetic Island, so the small team got to work building the Jungle Club dream. Jungle Club began as a coworking space, coffee cart and creative residency program and has since evolved into a collective of 7 creative small businesses on site! Which Locale is privileged to remain a part of.
Provide an inspiring, beautiful and encouraging space for creative professionals, entrepreneurs and curious humans on Magnetic Island, to be able to connect with other like-minded folks, have fun, support each other and work purposefully and mindfully, while connecting with the local community, and the natural environment of the island and surrounds.

We want to provide a safe space for individuals to push their comfort zone and equip them with the creative tools for freedom of expression, sparking unique ideas to stimulate change and growth on an individual and collective level.
